 Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose (HPMC) (Hypromellose) Eye Drops & Ophthalmic Gel 0.3%

Hypromellose eye drops are also known as ‘artificial tears’. They are used to relieve eye dryness and soreness.

Gel – Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose (0.3% w/w), Sodium Perborate (0.028% w/w)

Eye Drops – Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose (0.3% w/v), Stabilised Oxychloro Complex (0.005% w/v) – As preservative & Buffered Vehicle (qs)

Mechanism Of Action 

Promotes corneal wetting by stabilizing and thickening the precorneal tear film and prolonging the tear film breakup time, which is usually shortened in dry eye conditions. Also acts to lubricate and protect the eye.

Dosage – Eye drop – SID (6 Times) 
  Gel – BD ( 2 Times) during taking rest

Use – used in lubricating extreme dryness of eyes.

Contraindicated – Safe to use
